How does this work?

The inaugural Saranac Lake PorchFest is a FREE gathering of performers and those that support them! It takes place on front porches, back yards, driveways, storefronts, loading docks and any place a performer can entertain you!

When is this happening?

The Saranac Lake PorchFest will take place on August 2, 2025 between 12 pm and 6 pm at various locations throughout the village of Saranac Lake. See the map of venues here.

What happens if it rains?

PorchFest is a “rain or shine” event. In case of severe weather, event updates will take place via email and social media. 

Will there be food and beverages available?

We encourage attendees to visit Saranac Lake restaurants for a wide variety of dining options. There are generally food vendors at the Saturday Farmer’s Market in Riverside Park until 2pm.

Is Porchfest just for residents of Saranac Lake?

No - music is meant to be shared! PorchFest is open to the public, residents AND visitors alike.

Can I play at PorchFest?

PorchFest is run by volunteers, and we consider as many bands as we are capable of reviewing. Please apply! Our goal is to feature a broad range of musical genres and artists at the local and regional level.

How long can bands perform?

Set times are negotiated between bands and hosts. We ask that you let us know the approximate times set for the bands’ performances so we can let attendees know when you’ll be playing.

I want to host. How can I be matched with a band?

Visit our Sign Up page to sign up as a host, performer, volunteer or promotional ambassador!

Can I be a host for my own band?

Absolutely! We ask that you complete both the Band Sign Up form and the Host Sign Up form so we have all the info we need.

Is there any safeguard/insurance if I allow a band on my porch?

YES! We are partnering with the Saranac Lake Rotary Foundation to ensure a one-day event insurance policy to provide piece of mind and allow you to participate and have a bit of fun!

I want to host but don’t have a porch. Can I still sign up?

YES! We strive to ensure that all acts have adequate coverage in case of rain, so porches or other covered spaces are preferred. Nevertheless, please sign-up and we we’ll be in touch.

When is the deadline to sign up?

Bands and hosts must sign up by July 23. Volunteers can sign up any time!

How can I help?

PorchFest would love for you to get involved! You can sign up to volunteer the day of the event or help plan the event by joining our committee.
