Expanding Porchfest to the community of Saranac Lake is the brainchild of Jeff Hughes. Jeff has actively participated in the Somerville, MA Porchfest for many years.

Jeff writes:

“In years to come, we envision PorchFest as a beloved annual Saranac Lake tradition that fills every corner of our community with music, connection, and joy. People will stroll through neighborhoods, discovering a vibrant mix of local talent—folk duos, jazz ensembles, rock bands, student groups, and others - performing on front steps, lawns, storefronts, and other venues. Food vendors, art displays, and family-friendly activities will round out an event that celebrates the creativity and spirit of our town.

For this first year, our goal is to start small, with hopefully about a dozen bands sharing their music and neighbors coming together to enjoy a day of community and culture. By keeping things simple and grassroots, we hope to plant the seeds for something that can grow year by year into a cherished village-wide celebration.”
